Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about solar? We've got answers. Here are the top questions we get about what it means to build and own a solar-powered Beazer home.
*Your actual energy costs and solar benefits will vary based on many factors—like how much energy you use, the size of your household, local utility rates, your home’s design and orientation, shading from trees or nearby buildings, appliances, and local climate. If you live in a multifamily community, solar may not be possible. Beazer cannot guarantee that solar can be installed on your home or predict how much energy it will generate or offset. Solar estimates come from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s PV Watts calculator (https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/). These estimates are only a guide and should not be the main reason for buying a Beazer home. Beazer does not promise or guarantee any specific energy savings or cost reductions. In CA and select communities in other states where solar is included in the base price of the home, estimated average monthly energy costs include anticipated solar offset. Permission to Operate (PTO) of the solar system is determined and granted solely by the applicable utility provider. The builder makes no representation or guarantee as to the timing of PTO approval or the date on which the system will become operational. Solar is subject to availability, change or substitution deemed advisable by Beazer Homes or as required by local building code or law. All new homes in CA are required to install solar panels at the buyer's expense, unless otherwise specified in the contract. Your contract will define what is included in your home and the associated costs. Please consult your New Home Counselor for details. © 2026 Beazer Homes.
