Increased efficiency

HERS® Index is a nationally recognized system for measuring home energy efficiency. A lower score means a more efficient home, lower energy bills, and a smaller environmental footprint. In FY25, our homes averaged a HERS 32 (38 if excluding solar). For comparison, the average 2023 new home was a HERS 57 (RESNET 2024 HERS Trends Report). Based on publicly reported data for the top 30 U.S. homebuilders by volume (Builder Magazine, Oct. 2025), Beazer is the #1 energy-efficient homebuilder in the country. The HERS® Index is a registered trademark of RESNET.

Cleaner air

Every Beazer home is Indoor AirPlus qualified, an EPA program to recognize indoor air quality features in a new home. Each home is certified by an independent third-party inspector. Due to our consistent efforts to improve our homes, Beazer reserves the right to make changes without notice or obligation to plans, elevations and pricing.  All plans, specifications, features, materials and appliances are subject to availability, change or substitution deemed advisable by Beazer Homes or as required by local building code or law. Quieter Space

According to Built Green's Key Benefits of 2x6 exterior walls.  Beazer Homes builds using 2x6 lumber rather than the 2x4 lumber commonly used by other builders. This results in a thicker wall allowing us to add up to 50% more insulation. May not be available on all homes. Energy Savings

To calculate annual savings we compared the average monthly energy cost of a typical used home against the average monthly energy costs of a Beazer home and multiplied by twelve. Your actual energy costs and solar benefits will vary based on many factors—like how much energy you use, the size of your household, local utility rates, your home’s design and orientation, shading from trees or nearby buildings, appliances, and local climate. If you live in a multifamily community, solar may not be possible. Beazer cannot guarantee that solar can be installed on your home or predict how much energy it will generate or offset. Solar estimates come from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s  PV Watts calculator (https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/). These estimates are only a guide and should not be the main reason for buying a Beazer home. Beazer does not promise or guarantee any specific energy savings or cost reductions. The HERS® Index is a registered trademark of RESNET. HERS Index is based on the ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301 Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Energy Performance of Dwelling and Sleeping Units. The HERS Index rating shown is based on a specific home plan as designed (not as built). The actual HERS Index rating on a Beazer home as built will be calculated by a RESNET-certified independent energy evaluator based on an on-site inspection and may vary from the as-designed rating shown on the label depending on factors such as changes made to the applicable home plan, different appliances or features, and variation in the location and/or manner in which the home is built. Typical used homes are benchmarked at HERS 130 by the U.S. Department of Energy. Typical newly constructed homes (HERS 59-99) are representative of a code-built home, as determined by DOE, and vary based on many factors including applicable code requirements and climate zone. Typical New Home HERS data does not include solar offsets and is based on the characteristics of a code-built version of a model home in the community that may or may not be similar to the estimated plan. Beazer has no affiliation with RESNET, or any other provider mentioned, all of whom are third parties. For more information: http://www.resnet.us. In CA and select communities in other states where solar is included in the base price of the home, estimated average monthly energy costs include anticipated solar offset. Permission to Operate (PTO) of the solar system is determined and granted solely by the applicable utility provider. The builder makes no representation or guarantee as to the timing of PTO approval or the date on which the system will become operational. Solar is subject to availability, change or substitution deemed advisable by Beazer Homes or as required by local building code or law. All new homes in CA are required to install solar panels at the buyer's expense, unless otherwise specified in the contract. Your contract will define what is included in your home and the associated costs. Please consult your New Home Counselor for details.  © 2025 Beazer Homes.
