third-party certification on every home it builds through the Build San Antonio
Green and ENERGY STAR® programs.
The latest green building technology.
Through advancements such as open-cell spray foam insulation, advanced wall framing
techniques, high-efficiency windows with low-e glass, duct blaster and blower door
performance testing and a 14.5 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) air conditioning
system, homes built by Imagine Homes surpass the highest required levels of energy-efficiency.
Waste not.
Approximately two-thirds of the homebuilding waste that would normally end up in
the landfill is mulched with a portable grinder on the jobsite. Plus, sheetrock
(gypsum) is added as a nutrient to topsoil, which can help establish lawns.
Since 2006, Imagine Homes
has reduced CO2 emissions by 1.288.707 pounds a year and has also planted 507 trees.
The firm is the first and only builder in San Antonio to certify 100% of the homes
it builds as an ENERGY STAR® Partner and Build San Antonio Green participant.
